When ordering
What is VAT?
VAT stands for "value added tax", which is a form of consumption tax. The tax rate is currently 17.5% and scheduled to increase to 20% on January 4, 2011.
As a UK florist must provide the flowers, make the arrangement and deliver the flowers, VAT is charged by the florist and payable whether you are ordering from within the UK or internationally.
The displayed price of flowers sold from UK flowers shops or florists must include VAT in the advertised price. This is a legal requirement. |
